Victor Davis Hanson on World War II
I occasionally pinch hit as a guest host of The Federalist Radio Hour. Yesterday, I was called on to do an interview with historian Victor Davis Hanson about his new book, The Second World Wars: How the First Global Conflict Was Fought and Won.
It was a very interesting and enlightening 45 minutes, discussing the unique approach of his book, the importance of military history, his perspective on World War II as a historian of the Classical world, the nature of deterrence, and the lessons from World War II for today.
You can listen to it here.--RWT
