I'm struck by the parallels between Orthodox religions and the hardcore "woke" (McWhorter is good on this). I always think of negative-focused moral codes in particular, with an aversion to details and arguments. "Thou shall not" versus "It's never ok.". Or the alarmingly common "You could have just said nothing.". Well..... yes, but we're talking here, it's not theater lol. I would much rather be disagreed with straight forwardly than told to keep my thoughts to myself. I mean, Jesus that's obnoxious.

In voting , as with business, don't invest too much in strangers who you are, essentially, hiring to do a temp job. By all means take an interest, root for your team, it can be fascinating and fun. But if they disappoint, take in the information and move on. I have a BS in poly sci and considered myself a bit of a nerd on the subject, but the way grown-ass adults get defensive about Trump, Biden, AOC whoever is embarrassing. Like it's their high school girlfriend. And sometimes, before revealing they actually don't even vote.😂😂 As if it's too unseemly to actually make a choice and accept a consequence.

Grow up.

Rant concluded.😤
