Politics Without Principles

I have already given some suggestions for how to vote (or possibly why not to vote) in this rotten political year. I can't say I have any really great alternatives to offer. Fortunately, it will all be over by tomorrow night and we can focus on what comes next and how to rebuild from the bad spot we're going to find ourselves in.

I will approach either election result with a certain amount of equanimity, not because I think either outcome is at all good, but because I've had six months to reconcile myself to this disaster, ever since it was clear Donald Trump was going to get the Republican nomination.

That said, as the day approaches I find myself mildly hoping....
