A Return to the Primitive

A conversation with Dr. Amesh Adalja.

Announcement: The podcast below will be part of the background for a “year in review” livestream I’ll be doing this evening at 5:00pm Eastern time.

I talk to Dr. Amesh Adalja, Senior Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.

We look back at the covid pandemic and how the predictions of the experts fared—including an interview with Dr. Adalja very early on—versus the claims of their critics. We spend some time puzzling out the paradox of rising opposition to vaccines after the development of a successful vaccine in record time. (Be sure to listen for the section on the push for a 100-day vaccine development timeline. See more on that here.)

Finally, we look at some of the incoming administration’s appointees and examine the overall phenomenon of a “return to the primitive” on issues of health, medicine, and wellness. (For more on that, see the new anti-health fad for “raw water.”)

See the video here.
