  1. The long-term implication of voting with one’s feet is that, in 30 years or so (perhaps less?), the county will be politically and geographically divided. Isn’t the next step dissolution of the Union into two countries? A good thing, in my view, on balance. But, more importantly, to the extent that economic laws are powerful, an inevitable thing.
